Drugs impair a driver's ability to drive safely. If a driver consumes a drug such as Cannabis, Speed or Ecstasy then attempts to drive a vehicle, they risk the possibility of a road crash, serious injury to themselves or others and the possibility of death.
Police are now actively testing drivers for drugs in metro and regional areas. If you think it's unlikely you'll get stoped and tested for drugs, your wrong! If you do drugs and drive you will be caught. That's the reality.
Between 2006-2007 over 21% of drivers or riders killed and drug tested had significant levels of Cannabis, Speed or Ecstasy in their system. Over half had also been drinking and had a Blood Alcohol Concentration of 0.05 or higher.
