Regional South Australian residents make up approximately 30% of the State’s population, yet over the last five years, nearly 60% of fatalities and 44% of serious injuries occurred in crashes on regional roads – with the majority of those killed being regional residents.
Left Behind, has been developed on the back of recent MAC research identifying that a new campaign would help further raise awareness of the road safety issues impacting on regional South Australians and their communities, as well as demonstrating how we can all play a part in keeping safe on the road.
The new campaign is another fresh approach in targeting behaviours that lead to the loss of life on South Australian roads and the devastating impact it leaves behind.
